M.R.D. Shiksha Samiti is a registered Samitti under the Societies Act of 1860 and is the apex body of this Samatti. It was founded by Mr. Baleshwar Kumar in 1993. The samiti got registered under Society Registration Act, 1860. The mission of the samiti is to educate and motivate the people, sensitize policy makers and functionaries and promote activities and programme; of the Government and as well as the people, to achieve the vision in foreseeable future. The area of the activities of the samiti is very wide spread. The samiti is active in various sectors like Health and Hygiene, Education & Literacy, Women Empowerment & Child Development and Community awareness. The MRD Shiksha Samiti works for the overall development and awareness generation in the area of education, health, environment, and empowerment in rural and urban areas, through participatory approach and by facilitating the community members for their social, economical, mental empowerment. The organization also worked in the field of women's empowerment. The women's empowerment aims at enabling women to play an effective role and actively in planning process, within the family and outside the family. For achieving the goal organization running the stitching, Embroidery, knitting, soft toys & leather item making training class in Dhanana, Shahzadpur. The organization. has taken different strategies for increasing their skills, decision making, gender-sensitive, literacy level, health care awareness & taking up activities leading to generation of small incomes on regular basis etc. viz. capacity building, legal rights, status of women in society. The organization works in the field of health, environment, wetland, gender issue & sanitation. In this the organization regularly organized checkup camp awareness program, seminars, workshop, training program etc. in rural & urban area. To sensitize the community members and generation awareness. The MRD Shiksha Samiti, Dhanana has also been running a high school (Formal Education Centre) since April 1993. This school is permanent recognized from the Haryana Education Department. This school is having strength of approx. 700 students. This school was started to provide quality education to the students living in the rural areas. The MRDShiksha Samiti had also run the A.I.E./ Vocational Centers during the period 1st April 2005 to 31st March 2008. The no. of centers run by the samiti was 40 from which the no. of beneficiaries was 2877. These centers was run by the samiti were sponsored by the Haryana Prathmik Shiksha Pariyogna Parishad. The amount grant i.e. Rs. 3642695/- received from the sponsoring agency was fully utilized by the society for the purpose it was given. These centers were located at block Shahzadpur & Naraingarh of Ambala District.

1) To educate the rural children 2) To Development in the level of education 3) To established a education centre in which poor children can read and write and who those left their education without completion. 4) For development of children provide good building and good play ground 5) To established a library 6) To provide free education for schedule castes and backward classes and poor children 7) To motivate the people for social evils i.e. Dowry system, smoking, drinking, increasing population, and pollution 8) To motivate the young and children for social work and religion work in the sector of health. 9) To develop all round development in the villages.



Future Plans
M.R.D. High School is being run by M.R.D. Shiksha Samati, Vill. Dhanana Distt. Ambala. This school was started in 1998. This School is having strength of 650 students and is affiliated with Board of School Education Harayana Bhiwani. The School was started to provide quality education to the students living in rural areas. The land on which the school is working is leased by M.R.D. Shiksha Samati. The land area is 205 acres and classrooms, Lab Rooms and other building is constructed on it. The strength of the school was initially 50 students, has increased to 650 students. Now the students strength is increasing day by day, thus necessity has arisen to construct additional Building and provide more infrastructures. So, the samiti has planned to construct 2 classrooms as per govt. instructions. The existing building and proposed building will be able to cater the demand of additional students of 10+2. The school is having teacher strength of fourteen persons and additional qualified teachers (5 Numbers) will be employed for additional classes of 10+2. Vill. Dhanana is having population of above 10000 people and it is surrounded by cluster of village around 10 and there is no Senior Secondary School in this cluster of villages. So, keeping in view, the demand of general Public Samiti has decided to run 10+2 classes. We have complied Projected Financial Statement of the year 2007-08, narrating the income and expenditure. From this financial statement it is evident that the Samiti is in position to run additional classes economically and efficiently.
